Corporate quality
Whilst it was a short period of work at RSM in Farringdon, it was enormously beneficial as a period of growth. In this role I developed a real skill in videography and in making videos at a high quality, quickly, and often. The scale of the company, and the nature of the accounting business meant that the company had an insatiable desire for video to show their key staff and disseminate the developments of their industry to their clients.
Working at RSM
One benefit of working here was getting experience using a Sony XDCAM. Having a good quality broadcast video camera was great after only using hybrid DSLRs and mirrorless cameras before. RSM also gave me experience with a slider and various other new equipment, which I appreciated. I worked on a lot of videos that have either not been uploaded to a public forum or have old information and have been removed. The examples below show some of the various shoots and motion I worked on, however there were many more, that are now unavailable.
Besides the lighting, sound and camera operation involved, a big part of this role involved managing the shoots and liaising with the PAs and coordinators of the partners and clients we were shooting. Keeping a full schedule and finding time to work on edits and animating infographics made this role a challenge, but improved my organisation and efficiency.
