Rediscovering
This year has been eye opening, returning to use 3D software seriously and rediscovering how far the technology has progressed. This reel is a series of experiments and personal projects designed to learn new techniques and processes to develop my abilities to tell stories visually.
About the reel
These personal projects have been completed through 2023 as a way of developing my Cinema 4D skillset. These visuals were all created in the program and use the Redshift renderer, which is a huge shift forward in image quality for C4D. Having used Cinema 4D on and off since 2015, reorientating myself with the latest version and the capabilities of Redshift have invigorated my fascination with 3D.
These images are sometimes inspired by photographers, some are my own ideas. Referencing examples of great photography has elevated the compositions and my approach to the 3D has developed. Below are some links to work I’ve been following recently.
